Happy New Year Arrivals and Adoptions
1/3/2010
Today Greyhound Adoption Center brought in seven new dogs from the Caliente track in Tijuana:
Three Boys:
Etienne 1 1/2 yrs old, fawn
Deutz, 2 1/2 yrs old, brindle
Dom, 4 1/2 yrs old, brindle
Four Girls:
Cavit, 4 yrs., brindle
Korbel, 2 1/2 yrs., brindle
Stella, 3 1/2 yrs., brindle
Verdi, 5 yrs., black
Adoptions:
Little Debbie, our white with black girl from the snack cake group, and Ding Dong, a big black boy from the same group, went to
local San Diego County homes.
Douglas, who returned to us at 7 1/2 years old when his adopter died, went to his new home today with a previous GAC adopter from Orange County.
Charlie, an older black boy who came in mid-October from the Guam track rescue, was adopted by a GAC placement representative volunteer and her family, including two GAC greyhound girls.
Three of our more difficult-to-place girls went home locally with some of our more involved GAC volunteers: Hostess, a senior girl who had been a mama dog; Farrah, the extremely shy girl who came in from Caliente with Thriller on July 4th; and Munchkin, from our old "cat" group, to a foster home.
So very glad for all these dogs!
Thanks, everyone.
