Greyhound Adoption Center continues to improve and build out our rescue and adoption center with the ultimate goal of having the best environment we can create for the greyhounds, including crate-free living, expanded green and field space and improved areas for adopters to meet their new family members.
To that end, we continue to have Work Parties every other Sunday in which volunteers help out with kennel-building projects.
This Valentine's Day, Sunday, February 14th, we're having a very special day to introduce more people to what goes on at our center, and invite you to join us for a work party!
If you can't come, we invite you to give us 5 ($) to help purchase supplies and materials. Just think, if you -- and your friends and acquaintances -- simply send $5 for our "Have a Heart" campaign, together we can do a lot for the greyhounds.
Please join us:
Pancake Breakfast, beginning 9am, followed by a Work Party!
Projects may include cleaning future construction sites, demolishing old sheds and/or painting a new shed, levelling out a field area, installing skirting around a trailer, and other manual projects large and small. No special skills are necessary. You may want to bring work gloves and a cap or hat if it's sunny.
Open House and Kennel Tour, 1:00pm-3:00pm
For people not familiar with greyhounds or who would like to meet some of our current residents, please join us for an open house in the afternoon.
Can't join us in person to lend a hand? How about giving us 5 -- dollars, that is!
Simply pop $5 or a check in the mail to us, or go online here to help with supplies and materials for our construction projects.
