BADGER, a lovely black boy, born in June of 2016, arrived from Caliente 06/16/18. He has an old fracture of his left hock, which probably was not splinted, so is pretty much set. He’s just instructed to rest for now, and probably no surgery will be done. He also has a muscle disease which is being treated with medication in hopes he’ll be able to get better and off medication in time. He’s a nice boy that doesn’t know he has medical issues and does well with the dogs at the kennel. Badger would really appreciate your help with his care.
You can help us save more dogs by becoming a sponsor. Many of our sponsor dogs are “special needs” greyhounds whose stay at our kennel may be longer than most requiring more resources to feed, medicate and provide other care. Becoming a sponsor is a great way to be a GAC “insider” and get to know some of the greyhounds you are helping. All it takes is a $20 (or more) monthly donation to be linked to one of our carefully chosen sponsor dogs. You’ll receive a monthly mailing complete with a photo of your dog and a detailed letter about all their activities. Once your dog finds a forever home, you’ll be the first to know! Below are photos of our latest sponsor dogs. Sponsors get to follow their exploits as they venture into the “outside world” thanks to weekly excursions with volunteers.
