Listeners to San Diego’s Mighty 1090 AM radio were treated to a howling good time this morning on the Dan Sileo Show when Dan was visited by a happy hound from our Adoption Center, FRODO.
After his radio broadcast, Frodo went on to San Diego’s CW6 TV station for his “close-up” with Darlene White.
Check out GAC’s Facebook page for links to the broadcasts.
Frodo is a two-year-old greyhound cross, commonly referred to as a Lurcher, residing at our Adoption Center. He arrived from the Midwest in early February along with twelve track dogs. We are proud to say that Greyhound Adoption Center is one of the few organizations specializing in track dog rescue, that also rescues mixed-breed sighthound dogs such as Lurchers, as well as non-racing greyhounds.
Lurchers often have the same wonderful characteristics as the purebred greyhounds awaiting adoption at our Center.
Frodo doesn’t particularly care for cats, but he is exceptional with children of all ages as well as small dogs. He is ready for adoption to the right home and will be an outstanding addition to an active family. Like all dogs from our Center, Frodo has had a complete medical and behavioral evaluation. He is neutered and vaccinated.
As always on the third Sunday of each month, Greyhound Adoption Center is hosting an Open House this Sunday, April 20 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. Please come out and meet Frodo and his many companions at 4821 Dehesa Road in El Cajon. This is a great opportunity to visit with GAC volunteers and learn more about
greyhound rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and volunteer opportunities.
