Don’t let COVID stop our FUNdraiser!
Over the last fifteen years, the John Deere Classic Birdies for Charity fundraiser has raised over $220,000 for the greyhounds at Greyhound Adoption Center. The PGA canceled the John Deere Classic Tournament for 2020 due to COVID-19, but the fundraiser will go on.
To keep it fun, Greyhound Adoption Center has launched the Birdies for Charity Challenge – Greyhound Style!
Greyhound Adoption Center is challenging YOU to the Birdies for Charity Greyhound Style Facebook Challenge!
- Build a DIY “golf” hole. It can be as simple as rolling a golf or tennis ball into a cup/box or as intricate and creative as you want (think Rube Goldberg machine).
- Make a video of your (or your dog’s) attempt to make a “hole in one.” (For doggie golf, please make sure your ball is not a choking hazard).
- Post your video on Facebook and include #BFCGreyhoundStyle.
- Donate $20 or more to the Birdies for Charity Greyhound Style Challenge fundraiser to support greyhound rescue.
- Challenge two or more people to take the challenge and save greyhounds.
- Failed attempts are just as much fun as successes!
- Not into golf, videos, or Facebook? That’s okay; the greyhounds appreciate any donation (with or without a golf video).
- If you post your video on YouTube, please send us a link and permission to publish. We may feature your video on our website as inspiration for other Greyhound Style Challengers.
