GAC is proud to announce The Tippet Foundation has just awarded a $10,000 grant to Greyhound Adoption Center to support our Specialty Medical Care program that covers surgery and advanced medical care for injured greyhounds. This money comes at the perfect time to help our newest arrivals – three sweet girls with broken legs who were rescued from the racetrack in Tijuana on November 21.
So far this year, GAC has rescued 22 dogs with broken legs. The price for treatment ranges from $3,000 to $5,000 per hound depending on the severity of each injury. We are one of the few rescue groups that will accept badly injured greyhounds and we couldn’t do it without the help of The Tippet Foundation and so many other loyal supporters.
Thank You! Learn how you can support Specialty Medical Care.
