Barks & Brews Is This Weekend, RAIN or SHINE!
St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner—meaning Barks & Brews is, too!
Mark your calendar for Saturday, March 17: from 4-7pm, BNS Brewing (10960 Wheatlands Avenue in Santee) will be hopping with greyhounds, people, music, and food. Admission is free, but bring some money: you could walk away with one (or more) of the dozens of raffle items valued at several thousand dollars. Things like wine, doggy essentials and greyhound artwork. (We still need volunteers to staff the raffle table; the shifts are 4-5:30pm and 5:30-7pm.)
BNS has plenty of indoor space to keep you and your dogs dry and warm if the weather doesn’t cooperate. Besides, what could be more Irish than a good rain shower? Rainbows are guaranteed to lead you to the Pot O’ Gold at BNS where EVERYONE wins a prize!
Please arrive with a thirst! Plan to purchase one of our special commemorative greyhound beer glasses ($20 each / only $16 if you order them online in advance). Each one will get you two 4-ounce tastes of BNS craft brews AND $4 refills throughout the evening.
If the beer makes you hungry, step up to the Simply Fresh Food Truck for something to eat—regular, vegetarian or vegan. Simply Fresh also will be dishing out food plates for dogs! Speaking of dogs—and we were—bring yours, greyhound or not!
It’s all to support the Greyhound Adoption Center and its mission to rescue, rehabilitate and find loving homes for every track greyhound and greyhound mix. GAC is in its 31st year of operation. We insist on quality care for these beautiful animals because that’s what they deserve. Help us help the dogs; come see us on St. Paddy’s Day at BNS Brewing!
