GAC has received a check for $16,758 from the Birdies for Charity event, part of the John Deere company’s annual professional golf tournament. For the past 10 years, loyal GAC supporters John and Joanne Cashman of California have spearheaded this successful effort that allows non-profits to benefit when golfers score a birdie at this popular PGA event. John and Joanne reach out to GAC supporters across the United States and solicit pledges for each birdie made at the tournament.
There were more than 2,000 birdies scored at this year’s John Deere Classic and the company also gave GAC a percentage of all the money donated. The total amount of money Birdies for Charities has raised for GAC all these years comes to $136,021! So thanks to all the golfers , the donors and the Cashmans.
