Cheryl and Ellis Levinson of San Jose, Calif. have come up with a novel idea to benefit animal shelters and advocacy groups – they dog sit for friends and neighbors with all proceeds earmarked for helping dogs in need.
GAC recently received a very generous donation from the Levinsons in memory of their beloved greyhound Ginsberg who bought them so much joy.
Ginsberg and his best friend Ozzie
The Levinsons say they only charge $10 a day for the simple joy of having so many wonderful dogs spending time in their home. But family and friends insist on paying them more since for-profit dog sitters can be quite expensive. Cheryl and Ellis told GAC their hearts are full caring for the pooches and they encourage others to dog sit and donate all proceeds to animal causes. We agree! Hats off to the Levinsons for such a novel fundraising idea.
