We are currently looking for more volunteer placement reps!
At the Greyhound Adoption Center, we pride ourselves on the successful matches we make between humans and hounds in the adoption process. Our trained placement representatives are the ones who make initial contact with the people who send in an application to adopt a hound and are advocates for the hounds and GAC.
Placement representatives are the point of contact between potential adopters and GAC both before, during, and after adoption. Our reps are trained to speak with potential adopters on the phone, conduct a home visit with their own greyhound, assess safety issues and the needs of the adopter, and offer words of encouragement and advice after adoption. A good representative should be personable, intuitive, patient, committed and communicative. All of these qualities are required to fill this important position and ensure that we continue to make successful matches.
If you think you have what it takes to become a placement rep, please contact us at info@houndsavers.org and let us know that you are interested.
