United States Armed Forces recently volunteered in support of our greyhounds. 20 Marines, Sailors, spouses, and friends from Camp Pendleton spent their day off helping to prevent flooding by clearing massive amounts of brush from the creek bed and along the canine agility field.
The group’s major clean-up effort also tackled the GAC Memorial Garden.
The eager volunteers were thrilled to meet GAC’s Highland during lunch break and learn more about his amazing recovery process. There were lots of questions about greyhound racing and many members of the group are eager to return!
GAC is so thankful for everyone’s willingness to help the hounds.
