Special thanks to the Doris Day Animal Foundation for their recent grant to the Greyhound Adoption Center’s Permanent Foster program that provides advanced veterinary care and food for 32 older, hard-to-place greyhounds that are housed in local, loving homes. Our permanent foster home program allows dogs to live happily with families of their own while we pay the costs of their care. Many thanks to our long-time supporters at the Doris Day Animal Foundation!

GAC is very proud to announce a grant from the Best Friends Animal Society whose mission is Save Them All®. The funds will help pay for the veterinary care we give every greyhound arriving at GAC including vaccinations, flea/tick dips, blood tests, spaying/neutering and specialty medications. Volunteers and staff care lovingly for the dogs that often arrive with broken bones and parasites. We are honored to be one of the Best Friends NMHP Network Partners.
Leonard and Sheldon had their broken ankles treated less than 24 hours after arriving at GAC
We started off the new year with a generous donation from the Zoe McCrea 2000 Trust to offset the cost of replacing our aging air conditioner/heating unit and purchasing a new back-up generator so we can be sure the hounds are always protected during the hottest days and coldest nights. Many thanks to this California family trust whose mission is “Helping animals who can’t help themselves find safety, care and love…”
