Visitors to our canine campus now have a relaxing, shaded place to fall in love with our adorable greyhounds because GAC’s green space has been turned into One Greyt Place!
Thanks to a grant from the philanthropic organization Las Patronas, based in La Jolla, Calif., the yard where our rescued greyhounds meet potential adopters is now covered with a much-needed shade structure and enclosed by a safety fence.
One Greyt Place is essential to the successful pairing of our greyhounds with just the right adopters. It’s what makes GAC so effective in securing forever homes for the nearly 150 dogs we place in homes each year.
With summer temps nearing 100 degrees, the human visitors aren’t the only ones happy to find a shady spot. The hounds now have a cool place to relax and take a dip in the kiddie pool! Many thanks to Las Patronas for its support of the Greyhound Adoption Center.
