At GAC, we are thankful for all our wonderful volunteers. Last month, the U.S. Marines lent a helping hand.
More than two dozen Marines, spouses and their friends volunteered their time early one Saturday morning to assist with some major renovations projects at the kennel. It was a job well done!
Thanks to donations of wood, paint, concrete and steel from the Home Depot in Mira Mesa and several gallons of paint and supplies from a Dunn Edwards paint store in San Diego, this major effort resulted in a new sidewalk outside the condos, fence repairs and painting, new dog walking paths and lots of weed pulling.
During a much-deserved lunch break, the work crew made friends with GAC’s Pappadom and had time to visit with other dogs.
Many thanks to everyone who helped under the direction of dedicated GAC volunteers Rhonda and her husband, Christopher. See more photos here.
