Greyhounds are not used to being around little people. It’s important to teach your children restraint, monitoring their actions at first. The greyhound should have her own space or bed where she can retreat. Be sure to tell the kids to stay away while their dog is resting. Experts agree that children under age five should never be left unattended with a dog regardless of its size or breed.  Only teens (age 14 and over) should walk larger dogs.
